Karsten Bech, section manager of the Danish Patient Safety Authority, died as a result of coronavirus. He was 64. Karsten Bech returned from Florida, where both he and his wife were infected with Covid-19. It was found when they returned to Denmark, and both went in isolation in the home and split the house between them. The wife recovered from the virus within 8-10 days, but Karsten Bech was admitted to Herlev Hospital and later transferred to Rigshospitalet, where he died. He was thus one of the 123 dead of coronavirus in Denmark until then. The Danish Patient Safety Board mourns the loss of a 'respected and skilled manager with a great deal of knowledge in his field of expertise'. "We are appalled that Karsten has passed away and he will be sorely missed by his colleagues and staff," said Anne-Marie Vangsted, Director of the Danish Patient Safety Authority. [Photo]
